Christmas Moss – Golf-Ball-Sized Portion

Give your freshwater aquarium a woodland feel with Christmas Moss (Vesicularia montagnei). Its branching, triangular fronds resemble tiny Christmas trees, adding layered green texture to driftwood, rocks, and moss-covered aquascapes.

Attach a small patch to hardscape and watch it develop into a textured accent. The fine branches offer cover for shrimplets and fish fry, along with surfaces where shrimp can explore and graze.

One approximately golf-ball-sized portion of live Christmas Moss, packaged in a 4 fl oz deli cup. The cup is the container size, not the weight of the moss, and is not guaranteed to be filled. Portion shape and appearance vary naturally.

Care & placement

• Lighting: Low to moderate aquarium lighting; growth and shape depend on conditions.
• CO₂: Added CO₂ is not required.
• Placement: Attach small, thin patches to aquarium-safe wood, rocks, or mesh using thread or fishing line. Do not bury in substrate.
• Maintenance: Trim to maintain shape and prevent overly thick growth. Gently remove trapped debris during routine tank care.
