Green Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon simulans)

Add a splash of electric color to your tank! The Green Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon simulans) is the sophisticated cousin of the common neon. Known for their brilliant, continuous neon-green stripe that runs the full length of their body, these "jewels" are a favorite for planted tanks and nano-aquariums.

Why buy from Mama T's?

• Locally acclimated: Skip the stress of long-distance shipping. Our tetras are cared for locally, meaning they are hardier and ready for your water.
• Schooling for health: We sell these in groups of 6 because Green Neons are social. They feel safer, show better colors, and live longer when they have a "squad."
• Perfect for small tanks: They stay slightly smaller than regular Neons (maxing out at about 1 inch), making them ideal for aquascapes.
