These White Worm cultures are great for adult guppies and bigger fish. As long as they are kept in a cool environment (around 54 °F), they will thrive.
Getting started: Starter cultures take a while to get going. Once your culture is thriving, start a new one to avoid a crash. I use the 1-gallon rectangular Rubbermaid containers from Menards and organic potting soil with coco coir, and that bag goes a long way.
Feeding:
- 100% wheat bread (nothing expensive), plain Greek yogurt, and nutritional yeast flakes.
- Cut the bread into thirds and lay a piece of plastic canvas sheet over top with the yogurt side down.
- Feed every 3-4 days. If there is still bread in the container, no need to feed again unless you see mold.
Instructions will be sent with your cultures to get started.
Note: Our cultures are biologically active. While we strive for clean cultures, they may contain beneficial soil mites or springtails, which are harmless to fish and actually help break down waste in the culture media.
